2015 Terrien Pinot Noir

Four barrels of the 2015 Pinot Noir were made

Really good! Consistent with previous bottles.

My fourth bottle of this. What a great wine. Someone else described it as contemplative and I think they are spot on. A wonderful experience. I wish I had bought a case and not a 6-pack.

Peak drinking. Fantastic Pinot.

C: Dark red, contemplative
N: Fresh, fruity
P: Deeper and more robust than the ’14 (which is not from the same vineyard). Lovely, elegant wine. Very good length and balance. Drinks very well.
Yup. Subtle and elegant.

Thanksgiving dinner, we did a blind taste test amongst immediate with three different california pinots, and the Terrien was a the consensus winner. The others were admittedly different (De Negoce from Carmel Valley, and The Hilt from Santa Barbara), but the Terrien impressed with it soft, subtle, and layered flayers. Very good now, and can certainly go another 5+ years.
